These hearty treats are easy to whip up when you need a satisfying snack!
Homemade Rye Crackers
1 cup rye flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon onion flakes
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon water
Mix dry ingredients. Mix oil and water and then blend with dry ingredients. Drop spoonfuls onto parchment paper-lined cookie sheets. Press to flatten. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes or until crunchy.
Can be shaped into footballs for game day parties.
Great with spreads or top with (nitrate-free) corned beef and (low-sodium) sauerkraut and (fat-free) Thousand Island Dressing for mini Reubens!
